Una Madre con Autoridad

Me pidieron que escribiera sobre este tema como madre de cuatro hijos y como ministro de Dios sobre la autoridad con los niños.

Mientras meditaba en esto, realmente podría decir que es más fácil escribir acerca de esto que haberlo vivido. La razón que digo esto es porque muchas cosas entran en juego cuando se trata de nuestros hijos. Yo, como madre, me he encontrado en muchos de los conflictos entre lo que dice Dios en su palabra, y no porque yo no lo creo o quiero vivir, sólo porque he tenido que aplicarla en mi casa con mis hijos. Ha habido muchas veces cuando han querido hacer las cosas, o poner las cosas en el hogar que son ofensivas a Dios. Lo sé porque he leído y estudiado la palabra de Dios y después de un tiempo se empieza a conocer su corazón.

El conflicto surgió cuando tuve que aplicar y adoptar una posición de autoridad sobre lo que han querido hacer. Así que probablemente se preguntan cuál es el conflicto. Si Dios lo dijo hágase. Sí!

Bueno, el conflicto viene de nuestro corazón y las emociones, porque el deseo del corazón de una madre es hacer de sus hijos, feliz, y que estén en paz contigo. No me gusta cuando se enoja, o cuando empiezan a llorar, usted comienza a sentir su dolor, y si no tienes cuidado aquí es donde perdemos la batalla si no estamos fuertes. "Créeme yo al principio de mi caminar con Dios, perdí algunas o tal vez más de unas cuantas batallas" Como he dicho, es más fácil decir" ¡Tienes que ser una Madre de Autoridad "y luego tener que caminar y actuar en su autoridad como madre y mujer de Dios.

Creo que es por eso que el primer mandamiento que Dios nos dio, dice "no tendrás dioses ajenos delante de mí" (Éxodo 20:3) y también la Escritura dice que debemos amar a Él con todo nuestro mente, el corazón y la fuerza.

Cuando Él es primero en nuestra vida, y ocupa nuestras mentes y corazones vamos a poder pararnos en autoridad.

No podemos permitir que nuestros niños se conviertan en dioses en nuestra vida, debemos amarlos, apreciarlos, corregirlos, dirigirlos, alentarlos, alegría para ellos, llorar con ellos, darles de comer, proveer para ellos, etc, etc, etc, pero no postrarnos delante de ellos.

Por eso, cuando algo no está en línea con la palabra de Dios, la voluntad de Dios, y el orden de Dios, es nuestra responsabilidad tomar la autoridad en el Nombre de Jesús. La palabra dice que toda rodilla se doblará delante de él y toda lengua confiese que Jesús es el Señor.

Así que animo a todas las madres que leen este blog "Tome su lugar de autoridad" porque Dios no nos ha dado un espíritu de cobardía, sino de poder, de amor y de dominio propio.

Si realmente amas a tus hijos, no dejes que el enemigo te intimide, o engañe tu corazón, párate por (defiende) lo que es cierto, no dejes que tu corazón y las emociones tengan la última palabra, la palabra de Dios, el Espíritu de Dios tiene la última palabra. Si no sabes cómo, Ora a Dios para darte una forma.

Dios dice en su palabra que "disciplina a sus hijos porque los ama", es decir, corrige, (No te estoy diciendo que debes abusar, golpear o destruir su espíritu con palabras hirientes) él toma su lugar como un Padre y no lo que es correcto para nosotros aunque patearemos y gritemos y no nos guste.

En el momento sus hijos no querrán aceptar su autoridad sobre ellos, pero cuando se hacen mayores Créeme, que lo agradecerán por las muchas veces que usted intervino.

Hubieron muchas veces cuando yo le decía a mi hija que no podía hacer algo y en el momento ella se enojaba y pensaba que yo le estaba arruinando su vida, pero uno o dos días más tarde diría: "Gracias mamá!". Incluso ahora, a los 33, dice gracias por las muchas veces que yo me pare en la Autoridad de Dios.

Algún día sus hijos le van a decir gracias a ustedes también (madres)! No te rindas, mientras que Jesús es el Señor, hay esperanza de que las cosas puedan mejorar.

A Mother with Authority

I was asked to write on this topic as a mother of four children and a Minister of God about authority with the children.

As I meditated on it, I could truly tell you that it is easier to write about it than to have lived it. The reason I say this is because many things come into play when it comes to our children. I, as a mother, have found myself in lots of conflict between what God say in his word; not because I don’t believe it or want to live it, only because I have had to apply it in my home with my children. There have been many times when they have wanted to do things, or bring things in the home that are offensive to God. I know this because I read and study the word of God and after a while you begin to know HIS heart.

The conflict came when I had to apply and take a position of authority over what they have wanted to do. So you probably are asking what the conflict is. If God said it let it be done. Yeah!!!

Well, the conflict comes from our heart and emotions, because the desire of a mother’s heart is to make her children happy, content, and you want them to be at peace with you. You don’t like it when they become angry, or when they start to cry, you start to feel their pain, and if you’re not careful this is where we lose the battle if we’re not strong. "believe me at the beginning of my walk with God, I lost a few or maybe more than a few battles” Like I said it is easier to say “You need to be a Mother of Authority” then to have to walk and act on your authority as a Mother and Woman of God.

I think this is why the first commandment God gave us says “you shall not have no other Gods before me” (Exodus 20:3) and also the scripture says that we are to love HIM with all of our mind, heart and strength.

When HE is first in our life, and occupies our minds and hearts we will be able to stand in authority.

We can’t let our children become gods in our life, we are to love them, cherish them, correct them, direct them, encourage them, cheer for them, cry with them, feed them, provide for them etc., etc., etc., but we are not to bow down before them.

So when something is not in line with the word of God, the will of God, and the order of God, it is our responsibility to take authority in the Name of Jesus. The word says that every knee shall bow down before Him and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord.

So I encourage every mother who reads this blog “Take your place of Authority” for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind.

If you truly love your children, don’t let the enemy intimidate you, or deceive your hearts, stand for what is true, don’t let your hearts and emotions have the final say, let the word of God, the Spirit of God have the final say. If you don’t know how to do this, Pray for God to give you a Way.

God says in his word that “he disciplines his children because he loves them” in other words, HE corrects, (I’m not saying you should abuse, beat or destroy their spirit with mean words) HE takes his place as a Father and does what is right for us even if we kick and scream and don’t like it.

At the moment your children may not want to accept your authority over them, but when they get older believe me they will be thankful for the many times you stepped in.

There were many times when I would tell my daughter she couldn’t do something and at the moment she would become angry and think I was ruining her life, but then a day or two later she would say “Thank you Mom!”. Even now at 33, she says thanks for the many times I stood in the Authority of God.

Someday your children will say thanks to you also (Moms)! Don’t give up as long as Jesus is Lord, there is hope that things could get better.

The Weight of Glory of God

God bless you all. More than a blog this is a short description of what is the glory of God. This description comes from the Bible Dictionary, "New Dictionary of the Bible" (A. Lockward - Editorial Unilit) God put it in my heart and today I share with you.

GLORY = value and splendor of something, especially a person.

Hebrew = Kabod, pointing to the idea of "weight", especially related to precious metals.

The Glory of a person involves the ideas of its wealth, splendor, honor, beauty. Also, compared to the brightness of the precious metals, their brilliance. Moses wanted to see these things of God ("…Now show me your glory" Ex 33:18), but that was only partially possible. God revealed part of his glory, but not fully ("...for no one may see me and live." [Exodus 33:20]).

The expression "the Glory of the Lord" is used to indicate a visible manifestation of God. Ex: "In a cloud" that guided the Israelites through the desert was the glory of God.

Ezekiel had two visions of "the glory of the Lord" which he tried to describe by talking about a great cloud with raging fire engulfing itself; and brightness was all around it and radiating out of its midst like the color of amber,…” [Ez. 1:4]

"Give Glory to God" means to recognize their wealth, glory, honor, beauty, greatness, his holiness, in an attitude of compliance [accept and comply with an order], admiration and submission. Psalm 66:2 " Sing the glory of his name "

Greek: Doxa, which means "reputation" or "opinion" within the meaning of popularity, or reputation, or fame. The term "doxology" applies to expressions that speak of these divine attributes, praising. Ex: The kingdoms of this world have glory [Mt 6:29]

But when the term refers to God, indicates his perfection and majesty. [Ro. 1:23] But God manifested His glory in His Son Jesus Christ.

Jesus is "the glow" of the glory of God, "and the image of his substance" (Hebrews 1:3) So God found a way to fully manifest himself to us through Jesus.

The Glory of God manifested in a sense emphasizes his character ("…Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father…" [Jn. 14:9])

In the manner, the Lord Jesus is "the hope of glory" for all those who believe in Him (Col. 1:27), it is his purpose to bring "many sons and daughters to glory" [Heb. 2:10]

“For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.” Matthew 16:27

El Peso de la Gloria de Dios

Dios las bendiga a todas. Más que un blog esto es una descripción de lo que es la Gloria de Dios. Esta descripción viene del Diccionario bíblico; “Nuevo Diccionario de la Biblia” (A. Lockward- Editorial Unilit) Dios lo puso en mi corazón y hoy lo comparto con ustedes.

GLORIA= Valor y esplendor de algo, especialmente de una persona.

Hebreo= Kabod, que apunta a la idea de “peso”, especialmente relacionada con metales preciosos.

La Gloria de una persona envuelve las ideas de su riqueza, su esplendor, su honor, su belleza. También, por comparación con el brillo de los metales preciosos, su brillantez. Estas cosas quiso Moisés ver de Dios (“…Te ruego que me muestres tu Gloria” Ex 33:18), pero eso solo era posible parcialmente. Dios le revelo parte de su Gloria, pero no la plenitud (“…porque no me vera hombre y vivirá” [Ex. 33:20]).

La expresión “la Gloria de Jehová” se utiliza para indicar una manifestación visible de Dios. Ej: “En la nube” que guio a los Israelitas por el desierto estaba la Gloria de Dios.

Ezequiel tuvo visiones de “la Gloria de Jehová” que trato de describir hablando de “una gran nube”, con un fuego envolvente y alrededor de Él un resplandor, y en medio del fuego algo que parecía como bronce refulgente…” [Ez. 1:4]

“Dar Gloria a Dios” significa reconocer su riqueza, su esplendor, su honor, su belleza, su grandeza, su santidad, en una actitud de acatamiento [acatar= Aceptar y cumplir una orden], admiración y sumisión. Salmo 66:2 “Cantad la Gloria de su nombre…”

Griego= Doxa, que significa “reputación” u “opinión” en el sentido de renombre, o reputación, o fama. El término “doxología” se aplica a expresiones que hablan de estos atributos divinas, alabándolos. Ej: Los reinos del mundo tienen gloria [Mt. 6:29]

Pero cuando el término se refiere a Dios, indica su perfección y majestad. [Ro. 1:23] Pero Dios manifestó su Gloria en su Hijo Jesucristo.

Cristo es “el resplandor” de la Gloria de Dios, “y la imagen misma de su sustancia” (Hebreos 1:3) De modo que Dios busco una manera de manifestarse plenamente al hombre sin que este muriera.

La Gloria de Dios manifestada en este sentido hace énfasis en su carácter (“…El que me ha visto a mí a visto al Padre…” [Jn. 14:9])

De esta manera el Señor Jesús es “la esperanza de Gloria” para todos aquellos que creen en El (Col. 1:27), pues es su propósito llevar “muchos hijos a la Gloria” [He. 2:10]

“Porque el Hijo del Hombre vendrá en la Gloria de su Padre con sus ángeles, y entonces pagara a cada uno conforme a sus obras” [Mateo 16:27]

¡Rinde tus vulnerabilidades y Confía!

Realmente es un placer y un honor tener la oportunidad de escribir para un blog como éste; uno que afecta a las vidas de muchos y les ayuda a través de situaciones que pueden tratar en la actualidad. Sé que ha habido momentos donde yo he estado batallando con pequeñas cosas aquí y allá y a través del blog he podido obtener ciertas herramientas que son útiles en la situación y poner de mi parte para mejorar la situación, hacer lo que es posible para mí y Dios asume y hace lo que es imposible.

Aunque el tema de la confianza no ha sido un tema que yo llamo un experto, confiando en Dios ha sido algo que he aprendido a hacer últimamente. Para encontrar un punto de dirección miré hasta la definición del "Diccionario en línea de Webster" y encontré una definición que me impactó completamente. La confianza es donde se exponen sus vulnerabilidades, ya sea a otro individuo o a Dios.

Tengo que hacer yo mismo vulnerable a Dios con el fin de experimentar el sentido de confianza. Esto significa que tengo que tomar tiempo y exponerme a misma realmente. Tengo que buscar dentro de y dejar que Dios en todos los ámbitos de mi vida. Necesito estar verdaderamente transparente ante el Señor con el fin de confiar en él. Tengo que dar el primer paso. Realmente es necesario construir una relación con Dios, necesito hablar con él, es necesario hacerle llegar a conocerme y necesito conocer le {a través de la oración y la lectura de la palabra}.

Confianza no es algo que se obtiene de forma automática, la confianza se da con el tiempo, porque se ve que la persona es fiel y digna de ser de confianza. Es como cuando tenemos un amigo, les probamos por decirles un secreto y diciéndoles que no se lo digas a nadie. Si no se oye "el secreto" de cualquier otra persona, a continuación, es aquí donde la confianza comienza a florecer entre los dos. Juan 15:15 me dice: Ya no os llamaré siervos, porque el siervo no sabe lo que hace su señor; pero os he llamado amigos, porque todas las cosas que oí de mi Padre, os las he dado a conocer.

Jesús fue capaz de caminar con los discípulos y construir esta relación con ellos, fueron considerados sus amigos, y mientras más le buscamos y más dedicamos tiempo con El, nosotras también hacemos la transición de la búsqueda de El y de ser su amigo donde nos comienza a revelar cosas que fueron desconocidas antes.

"En ti confiarán los que conocen tu nombre, Por cuanto tú, oh Jehová, no desamparaste a los que te buscaron. {Salmos 9: 10} No podemos confiar con límites, debemos confiar completamente. Tenemos que entender que muchas veces la voluntad de Dios no es lo que queremos ver, y muchas veces nos confunden que con lo que está sucediendo y rápidamente empezamos a dudar de Dios y muchas veces incluso lo acusamos de romper nuestros corazones. Dios ha sido la única persona que nunca ha roto mi corazón. Tengo que reconocer que ha habido veces que yo quería hacer mi propia voluntad y no esperar en el Señor y por lo tanto, he llorado unas lágrimas que me he causado yo misma. Pero estos han sido las lecciones que he tenido que aprender a hacerme la mujer que soy hoy. El verso me dice que él nunca me abandonara, él no me dejara sola, que a pesar de que he hecho a algunas decisiones que él no ha estado de acuerdo y que no he permitido el Espíritu Santo guiarme, él está conmigo, que nunca ha dejado mi lado, él no ha renunciado a mí, nunca ha olvidado de mí, él ha puesto una esperanza en mí que nadie más puede.

La humanidad se creó con la capacidad de fallar y romper los corazones de las personas y de no mantener su palabra, etc., pero Dios es perfecto y no puede hacer esto a nosotros. Confiar en Dios y su voluntad significa que seremos confrontados con situaciones donde le preguntamos a Dios "por qué?" y donde sólo no vemos el beneficio de lo que vamos atravesando. Y eso es cierto, porque estamos atrapados en el problema de que muchas veces desenfoca la visión hasta el punto que usted no puede ver el pasado lo que está sucediendo, y he oído a tantas veces lo que no podemos entender ahora entenderemos en el futuro. Y muchas veces nuestra reacción es "Y que bien hará eso?" Necesito saber ahora. Pero no se trata de lo que queremos, o lo que consideramos que necesitamos, es confiar en Dios para saber que lo que hace es por nuestro propio bien. Él es nuestro padre y si tiene que corregir nos lo hará y si necesita enseñarnos algo lo hará, qué buen padre no proporciona a sus hijos con amor duro.

En aquellos tiempos debemos recordar lo que dice en salmos 13:5: Mas yo en tu misericordia he confiado; Mi corazón se alegrará en tu salvación. El amor de Dios nunca falla y es incondicional, él nos ama a través de lo bueno y lo malo e incluso cuando nosotros le damos la espalda a él, ¿por qué no podemos hacer lo mismo? amarlo y confiar en su amor por nosotros lo suficiente para saber que lo que voy a travesando es por mi propio bien.

Como la lluvia y la nieve bajado del cielo y no regresar a él sin la tierra de riego y hacerla yema y prospere, por lo que produce semillas para el sembrador y pan para el comedor, 11así será mi palabra que sale de mi boca; no volverá a mí vacía, sino que hará lo que yo quiero, y será prosperada en aquello para que la envié. {Isaías 55:11} Si Dios le ha prometido algo, entonces lo recibirás. Debemos confiar en él y a su palabra lo suficiente como para saberlo. Al igual que un orador dijo en nuestra Iglesia, una vez Dios habla una palabra sobre su vida, y según vaya sobre vida esa palabra le perseguirá hasta el momento donde se captura y se hace real en su vida. El problema es que queremos cosas inmediatamente, Dios dijo hoy y se hará mañana. Ruego a diferir; cosas buenas Toman tiempo para crearse. Antes de llegar a donde vas hay algunas cosas que necesitan trabajo, algunas de las cosas que deben extraerse y algunas cosas que se deben mejorar, hasta entonces voy a confiar en la palabra de Dios y saber que estoy en donde Dios me quiere y sólo es necesario caminar por la fe, sabiendo que es donde voy.

El estilo de vida cristiana requiere confianza, porque en esencia es lo que la relación entre usted y Dios se basa en, si no hay confianza entonces ¿dónde vas? ¿Se ha hecho usted mismo esa pregunta? Si yo no he tomado la decisión de confiar en Dios plenamente todavía, entonces, tengo que tomar una decisión consciente para hacerlo; Pero ¿cómo? Reconoce que se tarda en construir, pero antes de que lo sepas estarás en el camino hacia una gran relación con el creador que no puede sustituirse por cualquier otro.

Comienza hablando con Dios. Tómese tiempo para hablar con él todos los días. Levantarse 20 minutos antes de ir al trabajo, o ir a la cama 20 minutos más tarde, o tomar tiempo durante su almuerzo y vaya a su coche o en un área donde es sólo usted y Dios y comience a hablar con él. Comienza usted mismo haciendo vulnerable, diciéndole que las áreas que necesita ayuda en y ser completamente transparenten con él.

Además, tome algún tiempo para leer su palabra, llegar a saber de él, lo que él dice que sus planes son para nosotros, lo que él quiere de nosotros y dejar que la palabra sea una guía.

Tome algún tiempo tranquila y sólo escucharlo hablar a tu corazón. Es aquí donde comienza la relación con Dios y donde la confianza empezará a crecer.

Mire más allá de sus deseos y confié en la voluntad de Dios. Si no le gusta el resultado de lo que está orando porque no era lo que estaba pidiendo, aquí es donde hace la decisión consciente de saber que Dios está en control y que, a su voluntad, es perfecto y que usted tiene que confiar en él lo suficiente para saber que está haciendo las cosas de la manera que necesita para llevar a cabo.

Cada vez que se enfrente con la urgencia de tomar el control de todo lo nuevo y hacer tu camino usted mismo, recuérdate a ti misma que no funciono antes y que tu confías en el creador de todo lo que existe. ¿Quién sabrá cómo algo funciona mejor que quien lo creó? Nadie.

Asegúrese de rodearte con gente positiva, si tienes personas que continúan señalando lo negativo por favor distánciate y se sabio al respecto, evitar el tema con ellos o camina lejos cuando los dictámenes negativos comienzan a venir. Usted no puede dejar que nada tome lugar a duda donde cuando ha hecho la elección de confiar.

Entrega todo ante el Señor y conoce que él es Dios. Busca escrituras de aliento y de seguridad, escrituras que revelan el carácter de Dios y que le aseguran que él es alguien que puede ser confiado sin límites.

La confianza es algo difícil que hoy en día, debido a que la sociedad nos enseña que no se puede confiar, sólo a usted mismo. Pero te digo que es mejor confiar en Dios que al confiar en sí mismo. Somos imperfectos en que tenemos la capacidad para fallar, caer y decepcionarnos a nosotros mismos, pero aun cuando nos hemos renunciado a nosotros, Dios sabe que podemos dar más, eso es lo que confiar es, sabiendo que si tu caes siempre habrá un conjunto de manos para atraparte en su camino hacia abajo y levantarte de nuevo hacia arriba, eso es quien Dios es, cuando hay sólo un conjunto de huellas en la arena es porque él te va cargando hasta que recuperes la fuerza para caminar de nuevo.

Oración: Dios me entrego a TI completamente. Yo me rindo ante su trono y abandono todo el control de mi vida para poder confiar en su perfecta voluntad. Sé que usted nunca me fallará y que usted nunca romperá el corazón intencionalmente. Cuando entro en tu caminar diariamente me permite confiar más en TI, y a TI confiar mas en mi con tus planes y propósitos que tiene para vida. Gracias por la fortaleza que me das cada día y por la habilidad de confiar siempre en TI. En su nombre oramos, AMEN.

Trust by surrendering your vulnerabilities!

It is truly a pleasure and an honor to have the opportunity to write for a blog such as this one; one which impacts the lives of many and helps them through situations that they may be dealing with in the present time. I know there have been times where I have been battling with little things here and there and through the blog I have been able to obtain certain tools that are helpful in the situation and put my part to better the situation, I do what is possible for me and God takes over and does what is impossible.

Though the topic of trust hasn’t been a topic that I call myself an expert in, trusting in God has been something I have been learning to do lately. To find a point of direction I looked up the definition in “Webster’s online dictionary” and found a definition that alone impacted me completely. Trust is where you expose your vulnerabilities, whether it is to another individual or to God.

I need to make myself vulnerable to God in order to experience the meaning of trust. It means that I need to take time and really expose myself. I need to search within and let God into every area of my life. I need to be truly transparent before the Lord in order to trust him. I need to take the first step. I truly need to build a relationship with God, I need to talk with him, I need him to get to know me and I need to get to know him {through prayer and reading the word}.

Trust isn’t something that is gained automatically, trust is given with time because you see the person is faithful and worthy of being trusted. It’s like when we have a friend, we test them by telling them a secret and telling them they can’t tell anyone. If you don’t hear “the secret” from anyone else then it is here where trust begins to flourish between the two of you. John 15:15 tells me: “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”

Jesus was able to walk with the disciples and build this relationship with them, they were considered his friends, and the more we look for him and the more we spend time with him, we also transition from seeking him to being his friend where he begins to reveal things to us that were unknown before.

“Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.” {Psalms 9:10} We can’t trust with limits, we have to trust completely. We have to understand that many times the will of God isn’t what we want to see, and many times we confuse that with what is going on and quickly begin to doubt God and many times we even accuse him of breaking our hearts. God has been the only one who has never broken my heart. I have to acknowledge where there have been times that I wanted to do my own will and not wait for the Lord’s and therefore I have cried a few tears that I have caused myself. But these have been lessons that I have had to learn to make me the woman I am today. The verse tells me that he will never forsake me, he will never leave me alone, that even though I have made some decisions that he doesn’t agree with and that I haven’ allowed the holy spirit to guide me, he is with me, he has never left my side, he has never given up on me, he has never forgotten about me, he has put a hope in me that no one else can.

Humanity was created with the capability of failing and breaking people’s hearts and of not keeping their word, etc. but God is perfect and he can’t do this to us. Trusting God and His will means that we will be confronted with situations where we ask God “Why?” and where we just don’t see the benefit of what we are going through. And that is true because we are so caught up in the problem that many times it blurs your vision to the point that you can’t see past what’s going on, and I have heard so many times that what we can’t understand now we will understand in the future. And many times our reaction is “what good will that do?” I need to know now. But it isn’t about what we want or what we feel we need, it’s trusting God to know that what he does is for our own good. He is our father and if he needs to correct us he will and if he needs to teach us something he will, what good father doesn’t provide their children with tough love.

In those times we must remind ourselves what it says in Psalms 13:5: But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. God’s love never fails and is unconditional, he loves us through the good and the bad and even when we turn our backs on him, why can’t we do the same? love him and trust his love for us enough to know that what I am going through is for my own good.

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. {Isaiah 55:11} If God has promised you something then you will receive it. We must trust in him and his word enough to know so. Like a speaker once said in our church, God speaks a word over your life, and as you go about life that word chases after you until the moment where it catches up and makes itself real in your life. The problem is we want things immediately, God said today and it will be done tomorrow. I beg to differ; good things take time to create. Before getting to where you are going there are a few things that need to be worked on, a few things that need to be taken out, and a few things that need improvement, until then I will trust in God’s word and know that this is where God wants me to get and I just need to walk by faith knowing that is where I am going.

The Christian lifestyle requires trust, because in essence that is what the relationship between you and God is built upon, if there is not trust then where are you going? Have you asked yourself that question? If I haven’t made the decision to trust God fully yet then I need to make a conscious decision to do so; but how? Acknowledge that it takes time to build but before you know it you will be on the road to a great relationship with the creator that can’t be replaced by any other.

 Start by talking with God. Take time out to speak with him daily. Get up 20 minutes earlier before work, or go to bed 20 minutes later, or take time during your lunch break and go to your car or an area where it’s just you and God and start talking to him. Start making yourself vulnerable, telling him the areas you need help in and being completely transparent with him.

 Also, take some time to read his word, get to know him, what he says his plans are for us, what he desires from us, and let the word be a guide.

 Take some time to be still, quiet, and just listen to him speak to your heart. It is here where you begin the relationship with God and where the trust will begin to grow.

 Look beyond your desires and trust the will of God. If you don’t like the outcome of what you are praying for because it wasn’t what you asked for, it is here where you make the conscious decision to know that God is in control and that his will is perfect and that you have to trust him enough to know he is doing things the way they need to be done.

 Whenever you are confronted with the urge to take control of everything again and do it your way and yourself, remind yourself that it didn’t work before and that you trust the creator of everything that exists. Who knows how something works better than he who created it? No one.

 Be sure to surround yourself with positive people, if you have people who continue to point out the negative please distance yourself and be wise about it, avoid the topic with them or walk away when the negative opinions start to come your way. You can’t let anything place doubt where you have made the choice to trust.

 Surrender it all before the Lord and know that he is God. Find scriptures of encouragement and of reassurance, scriptures that reveal the character of God and that reassure that he is someone that can be trusted with no limits.

Trust is a difficult thing to have now a days because society teaches us that no one can be trusted, only yourself. But I tell you that it is better to trust God than to trust yourself. We are imperfect in that we have the capability to fail, fall, and let ourselves down, but even when we have given up on ourselves God knows that we can give more, that is what trust is all about, knowing that if you fall there will always be a set of hands to catch you on your way down and lift you back up, that is who God is, when there are only one set of footprints on the sand it is because he is carrying you through until you regain the strength to walk again.

Prayer: God I give myself away to you. I surrender me before your throne and I relinquish all control to my life to be able to trust your perfect will. I know that you will never let me down and that you will never break my heart intentionally. As I take this journey daily allow me to trust you more as you also begin to trust me with your plans and purposes for my life. Thank you for your strength every day and for the ability to rely on you always. In your name we pray, AMEN.
