Climbing the Mountain towards Success

“Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:12

Welcome back to your blog, Daughters of a King ... I think we would all like to have success in everything we do, right?

This topic may be controversial, but I believe it was given to me because we are in a time that many of us are living through this stage to seeing our dreams realized, and when I say dreams, I mean what God has called you to do. The beginning of your ministry or perhaps the rise of a powerful ministry for the glory of God.

Now, we know that it is not easy, and we have an enemy who is always looking for ways to detain you, or make your life impossible. But it is good to know that we are not alone and that we have a wonderful God, big, faithful and merciful to help us and defend us.

Success means: Positive Results – I used the mountain as a topic and comparing success with it. I believe that to achieve the outcome (positive) started from the bottom. Climbing stairs. Climbing the mountain, (learning and submitting). When you’re climbing a hill or mountain, don’t know if this has happened to you, but you start out good, with motivation, with a lot of energy and strength, right? But when you are half way there, you feel like you need more strength, your energy starts to decrease as well as your motivation. You start to think “I cannot anymore”, I believe I’m going back to the bottom. Isn’t this something like your spiritual life? You start with a lot of strength, with desire and encouragement and then things start to get intense, I do not say it is difficult, because it was never told that it would be, you start to feel the pressure and discouragement, desires to go back, to you comfort zone.

As you climb the mountain, you start feeling the muscles in your legs getting tense. As you get higher, it becomes more difficult. You get tempted not to continue, to turn back, but something is always telling to you, you can. The same way is your spiritual life, the more you know of God, it becomes more difficult. You’re tempted to leave everything and not continue. But, our merciful and mighty God, through his Holy Spirit tells you continue…you can.

Paul encourages us in his letter to the Philippians: “Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. “Philippians 3:13-14

Today I encourage you, keep moving, press on toward the goal for your reward is great. Do not be discouraged even though you hear the strong winds, even if your muscles tense up, and feel that you cannot do anymore … strive a little bit more. And you will see SUCCESS. Your positive result…AMEN!

You can do it!!!
Your sister and friend,
*Erika Gonzalez*
