Hello Daughters of a King,
I want to share with you something that happened to me and I’m sure you can relate. I was ironing my clothes, when all of a sudden the light goes off on the iron, which means the iron stopped working. I take the iron and go to another room and plug the iron and unfortunately it doesn’t work. I’m a very persistent woman, so I try another plug to see if that plug will turn on the iron, but no...I did not give up, I prayed to the Lord, to help me get a working plug to get my clothes ironed. So, I decided to go back to the original plug I was using when the iron turned off. I tried it again, and it started working...YAY, now I can continue ironing!
This example also happens to with our spiritual life as well. We are connected with the Lord, and then we don’t pray as often, fast as often, congregate/fellowship as often, our “light” turns off, which means our connection with the Lord, has stopped working. Since the connection with the Lord is not working, you go to another “plug” to see if it works (for example: depending on others for the answers to your solutions instead of seeking the Lord for the answer) unfortunately the “plug” does not work. Since the other “plug” wasn’t working, you try another plug to see if it works (for example: focusing on other things instead of focusing on the Lord)....and that one doesn’t work either.
For those of you going through searching which “plug” works for you...You have a decision to make like I did with the iron; you have to go back to your original plug (the Lord and Savior of your life) and depend on HIM and HIM alone for the answers to your solutions. Focus on the Lord and you will see the blessings HE has for you. Build up your prayer time, fast more often, and congregate/fellowship at your local church.
Jesus, our Lord and Savior, wants all of you, not just a portion, all of you! You are HIS unique child in HIS eyes and wants to build a special relationship with you. He loves you and knows what is best for you. Have total dependence on the Lord, and you will see his blessings over your life!
Many blessings, Maria Guzman
