"He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built." Lucas 6:48
Blessings and Welcome once again to the Daughters of a King blog.
A while ago back in one of the women services that we have on Thursdays at the church where I congregate, my Pastora Yolanda, spoke of the "Virtuous Woman", which was the theme of the evening. While developing the message, she said something that caught my attention. She commented that the previous day being outdoors with her husband, she realized she left her phone at home. She came back into the house to check her phone and noticed there were no calls and it was strange that not even her children had called.
Her husband sees what she is doing and says, "It is a moment of silence"...Later, the pastora then asks have you ever had that moment of silence?
I believe that we all in a moment in our lives we pass or will pass by this moment of silence. A moment where everything seems to be upside down, where you do not hear from God, where at times you do not feel even a passing breeze. That can be frustrating this "moment" seems to last an eternity. In these times it is very difficult to be in that moment of silence. Because we are so accustomed to technology and the hurried way of life especially if you live in USA, and we vitally need God's direction of the Holy Spirit.
This "Moment of Silence of God" is nothing pretty or pleasant, or even know the length of time it will be, but I encourage you fight, this time is just to measure your faith, to test, to grow, so that you graduate. Fight and continue on and do not stop even if you do not see anything, and not hear anything, and if you do not understand anything, keep going. Your perseverance talks about you, how much you love God and your Faith. It's your base, it is like what the word says "The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." (Matthew 7:25)
That house is You ... come what may! If the river comes to you with a vengeance, STAY and do not move ... Like a house built on the Rock. "Why do not swim down here to die on the shore." And the coming of our Lord Jesus is near. Matthew 24:13 says "But he who endures to the end will be saved."
I leave you with this video for "Hillsong" and the song that says, "At The Cross"
Blessings and continued to persevere!
Your sister and friend,
Erika Gonzalez
