L O V E = Feeling that attracts one person to another.
The word says that love can, bear all things, endure all things, But ... do you think you could do all this without God in your life ..!? It is only through him and the Holy Spirit that we can (develop)put to Practice the love within us or better yet to let it flourish. Because God is love and He is in us!
There are many ways to love; love is not only expressed in words but in deeds. If we go to the Bible John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Here we can see an act of love, God gave us His son, and Jesus died for us.
In Love, there are many times when we win, but there are also times when we lose. When I say we lose, what I mean to say is that sometimes we have to leave many things we like to one side, make a small sacrifice for someone or maybe something. That's how we really show our true love, when we go the extra mile, this is also used during the process of maturing (growth). Same as when we praise God, in good times and bad times, when we go through a trial and when we are in victory ... It is good to learn how to love, to be grateful, to appreciate, to care and especially mature spiritually...
And do not forget that God also wants to be loved
We love God when:
We are grateful
We hear and obey His Word (John 14; 16 & 24)
But above all things when we love our neighbor.
(John 15;12-13)
If you do not love your neighbor, brother or friend that you can see, how can you love God that you cannot see?
I will conclude this section with this biblical text, it says:
If you do not love your neighbor, brother or friend that you can see, how can you love God that you cannot see?
I will conclude this section with this biblical text, it says:
“In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.” 2 Peter 1:5-7
To love is; to forgive, listen, wait (patiently),to care, Go the extra mile for someone.
I hope this blog has been helpful on your spiritual growth.
And remember Christian character is produced (formed) by the Holy Spirit, not by our own efforts.

Your teaching is just so on time Erika!! With February soon upon us, and our sisters getting caught up in a world system of lust and emotion disguised as true love, we need to be reminded of what real love is. And that it does depend on the mood of the day, but is always there.
ReplyDeletethank you my dear sister.
