True Love II

True Love (part II)

Previously we talked about; Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails... 1 Corinthians 13; 4-8

Now let's make us a small self-evaluation, and let's see if we are truly living under that principle/commandment that our Lord Jesus Christ left us, which is love. Let's see if we are really loving ourselves and how much love we have for our neighbor.

Let's ask these questions to ourselves:
1. When you enter a place where there are not many people, do you enter and say; Good Morning, Good evening or God bless?

2. What if there's someone with a need, such as a pregnant woman, do you offer your seat; or do you help someone fillout a form who cannot read, or pick up something from the floor for someone?

3. Do you know your neighbor, and their name?

These little things are what make a great difference... Today, if you look around, for example; USA this great nation - we can see the eagerness of people - Yes, it is true that this is a country of many opportunities but, we can see the thirst of people searching for their own benefit, the bible says in Matthew 24; 12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. Many times we come in and out our houses and we don't even know how our neighbor might be like...

When I was a child I always heard my mom say: "your neighbor is your closest family in case of an emergency they would get to you first" this is one of those sayings that you learn or hear from people, and you don't even know who invented it, but somehow it make sense.

Well, maybe you're saying to yourself right now; to me is a little difficult to reach people and establish a conversation, because I'm a timid person and I can't find the words to start a conversation. Well, the bible says ask and you shall receive... I encourage you to ask the Lord to help you develop this fruit of the spirit and help us overcome, so that his word is fulfilled in our lives 2 Timothy 1: 7 "for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and LOVE and self-control."

I was reading a devotional and found it really nice and so true, and would like to share it with you. We are God's eyes, hands and feet. He blessed us with the resources to solve problems. All that remains is for us to FIND LOVE and Compasion among ourselves to make God's plans a reality.

If you notice the biblical verse says that He already gave us spirit of power, LOVE and self-control, and the devotional says: all that remains is for us to FIND LOVE within ourselves. So that means you already HAVE that fuit of the spirit, LOVE in you, you are equipped with LOVE in you, all you have to do is let it manifest!!

In my own experience the best way to learn something is putting it in practice on that precise moment, as soon as it comes to your mind/heart, just do it, IF is from GOD. Just like the Eagles, when they 're going to teach their baby birds to learn how to fly... the mother just pushes them to the open sky and the little birds have to learn while they're falling, on that precise moment, how to move their wings and Fly...

Now, don't just stay there looking around... Go for It!! and put the love of God that's in you to work. I dare you today to find someone and intentionally do that person a favor. Do it and I assure you that you won't regret it and you will be blessed and feel AMAZING!!

Love someone today without expecting anything in return...! Amen.
